The greatest tech companies save people time or money. It begs the question, what then is the time for. Meaningful work and relationships - I suppose. To me the interesting investments are companies who can provide or facilitate the latter, rather than just more time.
After listening to Chris Lattner being interviewed by Lex Friedman about developing first principle software for AI developers, I am encouraged about the possibility of compute, data and interface cost converging at rapid pace in the not to distant future.
